We enjoyed the Spanish feel of the hotel exterior and the courtyard where the pool was which gave a good impression of the hotel. Upon check in, the staff were welcoming and friendly and we were given a map of the hotel to show us where our room was. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room had a separate living room with a second tv, fridge, sink and sofa in. The bed was very comfortable and the whole room was very clean. We even had a small balcony which was very nice. Free parking and a complimentary BBQ in the eve and breakfast was amazing. Being vegan, and usually not having an option it was exciting to see they had vegan burgers at the bbq and along with the regular continental style breakfast, they have a kitchen that makes hot food to order for you. the staff were wonderful and after having a little chat with them they made us a vegan breakfast burrito! Even though we only stayed for one night, the experience was good and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting a decent night in SLO

The reception staff were really friendly and helpful and offered us a number of rooms. We selected one with a small balcony on the 3rd floor with views of the road and mountains. There was a very slight road noise when it was quiet but not an issue. The room was spacious, it had it's own table for 2 people a pull out sofa bed and sliding doors to close off the rooms. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the wine and beer tasting (AKA free beer and wine , not really a tasting). When we booked there was mention of free snacks, but it seems they stooped that around covid time. Instead we had some really delightful burgers/hot dogs at a very reasonable price (hot dog $3, burger $8). It was a great convivial time to meet and chat to other guests. There was unlimited free coffee in reception. The breakfast was great too, hot food, choices of coffee. We were saddened to leave the SLO quality suites

The every evening happy hour is amazing. Free beer and wine from 5:00 - 7:30. Did I mention FREE! They gave us a mini suite when we just ordered a 2 bed room. We were so comfy. It had a living room with a couch/hide a bed, wet bar, TV, dining table... We were given so many towels each day it was great. Then...there was a full breakfast bar every morning. There was a good amount of pre packaged food items as well as cooks making special order omelettes, potatoes, meats, burritos and more. The outside of the place was beautifully clean and fresh as well. The pool and patio area is very inviting for hanging out. We were there basically to see the sights around that area and wished we had came just for the hotel! Surprisingly generous.

The room was very spacious. It's a peaceful, serene property with a creek running behind it. Benches are set amidst the trees so you can enjoy the scenery and the sound of water. The hotel makes the most of the outdoor space in it's several courtyards. There are many places to comfortably sit outside and enjoy the weather. Breakfast was generous with a nice variety-something for everyone. The Manager's cocktail reception was also quite enjoyable. I slept like a baby on the pullout sofa. My mother said the same of her bed. The bedroom and living area each had a TV. I was able to close the door between the two rooms and watch TV while my mother slept.

Tracy

Pleasantly Surprised. Really great free happy hour that we did not know about or expect. Free beer and wine. And not just Miller Lite. Full selection of local micro brews. They had a BBQ going where you could buy hamburgers to cheese steaks. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. Not just some pastries and cereal but a made to order breakfast skillet. My wife sent me down multiple days to get the #4 with eggs, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. Room was large and the bed was very comfortable. My back hates hotel rooms and I had no issues here.
